:: WHAT’S NEW & WEEKLY GRATITUDE ::
Faris’ dad Abdulla just got in from the UK on Saturday and we drove to Nashville to pick him and his friend Janka up at the airport. Before driving to Chattanooga on Sunday, we had Martin’s BBQ (gotta show off their Alabama White sauce) with some of Rosie’s family. On Monday, we took Abdulla to his first ever yoga class at age 81. We went to Yoga Landing, our yoga home here in Chattanooga, and the class couldn’t have been more perfect. The teacher, Jessica, is always telling us to listen to our bodies and reminding us that we don’t always have to push so hard. Abdulla spent the whole class on his back, with a bolster under his legs, doing restorative yoga that he made up on the spot. He got a round of applause at the end of class, followed by jealous looks on everyone else’s faces when we all found out that he got a near full body massage from Sarah, the teacher who was assisting. We’re so happy to have him here, and we’re looking forward to celebrating our 10 year anniversary with family and friends in Beersheba Springs this weekend! We’ve got some links for you — but as we’re prioritizing family time, you’re not getting the context you usually do!
This week, we’re especially thankful for:
Abdulla & Janka visiting, getting to show them our house, playing tourist in Chattanooga, spending time at Wholemeal with our family and friends, weddings & relationships & love & anniversaries, and YOU!

WHY RITUALS, NOT HABITS, MAKE YOU MORE PRODUCTIVE
Stand-out quote: “Rituals animate us, enchanting our lives with something more,” says Norton. “They are the emotional catalysts that enhance an ordinary day or make special occasions memorable. They help us get over, get through, and get better at the challenges life presents.” (Fast Company)
WHEN HYBRID WORK STRATEGY AGGRAVATES 20-SOMETHINGS
There’s a lot of obvious preamble in this article. Just use your find function (apple+f for those of us on Macs) and search for: “Five Actionable Ideas” to be taken to the good stuff. (MIT Media Review)

It's called Genius Steals because we believe ideas are new combinations and that nothing can come from nothing. But copying is lazy. We believe the best way to innovate is to look at the best of that which came before and combine those elements into new solutions.
Co-Founders Faris & Rosie are award-winning strategists and creative directors, writers, consultants and public speakers who have been living on the road/runway since March 2013, working with companies all over the world. We have a distributed team ourselves, an accounting team is based in Tennessee where our company is registered, our admin extraordinaire is based in Playa del Carmen, and our collaborators are all over the world. Being nomadic allows us to go wherever clients need us to be, and to be inspired by the world in between.
