This year we’re aiming to highlight 50 creative thinkers that have inspired us, by giving them the opportunity to guest curate this newsletter, Strands of Genius. Tiffany is the founder of Gild Creative Group; She and Rosie worked together at Translation LLC.
:: A BIT MORE ABOUT GUEST CURATOR, TIFFANY HARDIN ::
LOCATION: Nashville, TN
PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT: Gild Creative Group
I am Tiffany Hardin - I met Rosie and Faris in another life when we were younger in our careers in advertising. I love their spirit and their individual commitment to design their own life. I own my own agency that focuses on influencer marketing and partnerships. I'm based in Nashville.
Editor’s Note (Rosie): I met Tiffany at my very first job in advertising, at Jay Z and Steve Stoute’s Translation, an entertainment and brand consultancy. My first taste of NYC-living, and my first taste of agency life — It was all a big crazy, and I remember wondering how Tiffany managed to say so calm and grounded amongst the chaos. I’ve been following her from afar, watching her success as a founder of Gild Creative Group, which includes clients like Black Girl in Om, The Flow App, Koya Webb, Ohi, Adore Adorn, and Cobble — which just got some NY Times Coverage! Thanks for being here, Tiffany, and here’s to hoping we can get a Nashville meetup on the books one of these days!

BETTER SLEEP
I chose this because not only is Lauren and Black Girl in Om a client but we all need a little rest. I recently was introduced to Yoga Nidra and its a game changer - especially for busy people. (Vogue)
COWBOYS ARE MAKING A REAL COMEBACK
I am currently working on a strategy for a film in the country western genre and have been looking at all the historical and not so historical information out there. I think country music and lifestyle is expanding in perception. This site just made me giggle. (Instagram)
A GOOD STORY FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH: HOW JACK DANIELS CAME TO MAKE WHISKEY
There is so much in this story of Nearest Green and Jack Daniels. Not only is it an interesting story of a master/apprentice relationship where Jack Daniels serves as an apprentice; it’s the tale for so many disadvantaged people. Built off the intelligence and recipe of Nearest Green, a former slave, Jack Daniels became a global phenomenon yet this is still unknown to many. The reclamation of Black stories and contributions is something we work for every day. (Jack Daniels)

It's called Genius Steals because we believe ideas are new combinations and that nothing can come from nothing. But copying is lazy. We believe the best way to innovate is to look at the best of that which came before and combine those elements into new solutions.
Co-Founders Faris & Rosie are award-winning strategists and creative directors, writers, consultants and public speakers who have been living on the road/runway since March 2013, working with companies all over the world. Our Director of Operations is nomadic like us, our accounting team is based out of Washington, our company is registered in Tennessee, and our collaborators are all over the world. Being nomadic allows us to go wherever clients need us to be, and to be inspired by the world in between.
Hit reply and let’s talk about how we might be able to work together :)
