Guest curated by Jill Hoppenheim
This year we’re aiming to highlight 50 creative thinkers that have inspired us, by giving them the opportunity to guest curate this newsletter, Strands of Genius. Ashley & Jill worked together at Bagg Street Productions producing creative marketing content for all of your favorite shows and movies.

LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT: Bagg Street Productions
Hi! My name is Jill Hoppenheim. I'm a producer in the film/tv industry as well as the founder of a digital content agency called, Bagg Street Productions. I'm really passionate about storytelling, activism, health & wellness, creativity and finding your joy.
Editor’s Note (Ashley): I was relatively fresh out of college and with only a little bit of freelance production experience when I landed a job with Jill at Bagg Street Productions. Jill is one of the best storytellers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Her ability to interview celebrities and make them feel comfortable enough to share the details not on screen is incredible. Not to mention her impressive skills in post production. She can suggest a seemingly small edit that elevates the story to the next level! Her guidance and mentorship helped me grow in so many ways personally and professionally (and continues to do so). It’s been a few years since we’ve worked together, but it’s been an absolute pleasure watching her share her talents in all facets of the film/tv industry!

HOW GREAT LEADERS INSPIRE ACTION
This Ted talk by Simon Sinek came out quite a few years ago but I believe it's one of the most important talks for any leader or entrepreneur. He shares about purpose-driven leadership which is created through understanding your "Why" - why are we waking up every day to do this work? As an entrepreneur, if you understand your "why", you know where you, and your organisation, are heading. The journey is purpose-driven and inspired. (TED)
TRAILBLAZING TIKTOK ENTREPRENEURS
This is an article about 9 trailblazing TikTok entrepreneurs and what we can learn from them. As we enter a new era in entrepreneurship, I continue to be fascinated by how people are using TikTok for business in ways that are really resonating with those watching. Many of these entrepreneurs understand their "why" (see above Ted Talk). (99 Designs)
FIND YOUR FLOW
This article from Jim Kwik is about the four stages of flow and how we can access this state for maximum productivity and creativity. What I love about this article is that it gives us the skill set to be able to access this state. Being in flow is not only for artists, it’s for everyone. We all have a state of flow whether we are accountants, yoga teachers or chefs and when we can access it, we are able to move through obstacles and see opportunities in our lives with greater ease. It's called Genius Steals because we believe ideas are new combinations and that nothing can come from nothing. But copying is lazy. We believe the best way to innovate is to look at the best of that which came before and combine those elements into new solutions.
